Australia batsman Travis Head blessed with a baby boy

Australia's attacking opener Travis Head and his wife, Jess, have been blessed with a baby boy and named him Harrison George Head.

The news of the arrival of their second child was shared by Jess on Instagram. The couple first became parents in 2022 with the birth of their daughter, Mila, who is two years old now.

"Welcome to the world Harrison George Head," the happy parents wrote as caption with the Instagram post.

Head took a break from cricket for the arrival of his second child. He excused himself from Australia's ongoing ODI series against Pakistan at home and is expected to be included in the Test squad against India.

The coming Border Gavaskar Trophy will be contested over five Tests, beginning November 22 in Perth.

The left-handed batsman has tasted significant success over the past 12 months, as he won the 'Player of the Match' award in the World Test Championship final earlier this year as well as in the ODI World Cup final late last year. He hit a century in those title clashes to help Australia become world champions in both the formats.
