Austin Rivers smacked ball off LeBron’s head, immediately apologized

The frustration for the Houston Rockets boiled over in the final moments of their season-ending loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, exemplified by a late moment of anger, followed immediately by regret, for Rockets guard Austin Rivers. Rivers bemoaned the Rockets lack of effort in the series between Games 4 and 5 and when a ball went loose in the air on Saturday night, he spiked it, the only problem was that it hit LeBron James in the back of the head.

James immediately turned around with a righteous attitude and then Rivers, noticing what he did, immediately apologized. An additionally funny part of the exchange was Kyle Kuzma’s reaction, where he laughed very hard at the exchange.

Even after the game, Kuzma was still “crying laughing” after the exchange.

It’s understandable why the Rockets were frustrating, having lost Danuel House to misconduct and then being dominated by the Lakers over the last four games. But their frustration created a hilarious moment for all of us and for that, we should be thankful.
