Austin Reaves, Lonnie Walker IV to miss at least two weeks

The Los Angeles Lakers have already been severely challenged by the absence of Anthony Davis, and they will be challenged even more on the injury front.

Guard/forward Austin Reaves has suffered a left hamstring strain and is expected to miss at least two weeks of game action.

He has been having a very strong season. He is averaging 10.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 48.8% overall and 36% from 3-point range. His 3-point shooting has been the big improvement he has shown compared to last season.

Guard Lonnie Walker IV, who has already missed the Lakers’ last three games, will also miss at least two more weeks.

This all means the team will be severely short-handed moving forward.

In an attempt to replenish its wing depth, Los Angeles is in the process of signing Sterling Brown, who has shown ability to hit the 3-ball in five NBA seasons.
