Austin Hooper has the most fantasy points of any tight end in 2019

There’s really nothing that can make things better for this 2019 Falcons team other than winning some games. Since that doesn’t look all that likely, fans will have to find silver linings in other areas.

Tight and Austin Hooper has been one bright spot through five games. Atlanta’s fourth-year tight end has 34 catches for 363 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season.

While his production hasn’t done much in terms of helping this team win games, Hooper has become a valuable asset for fantasy football teams everywhere — ranking first in fantasy points per game among tight ends.

With 16.9 fantasy PPG, Hooper is ahead of both Even Engram (16.6) and Travis Kelce (15.6) in 2019. Hooper’s elevated performance isn’t a surprise with Dirk Koetter taking over as offensive coordinator.

The Falcons offense has been a major disappointment, however, the team looks like it may have a future star at the tight end position in Hooper.
