Australia has banked two bronze medals in early Paralympics track and field action on Sunday with sprinter Robyn Lambird and discus thrower Sarah Edmiston both on the podium.
Lambird posted a season-best effort to place third in the women's 100m T34 final behind Great Britain's Hannah Cockroft, who set a world record time of 16.39 seconds.
The dominant Cockroft made it a hat-trick of gold medals, having previously won the 100 metres in Rio and London, while she was also Paralympic champion in 2016 over 400m and 800m.
Her teammate Kare Adenegan edged Lambird for silver.
Edmiston finished third in the women's discus throw F64 (standing) competition, nailing an Oceania record and personal best with her 37.85 metre final throw.
China' Juan Yao smashed the world record with a 44.73 metre mark to win gold, while her teammate Yue Yang took silver with 40.48.
In heats on Sunday morning, Angela Ballard finished fourth in her T53 800m race with a time of 1:52.50, a season's best, enough for her to move into the final as one of the two fastest non-automatic qualifiers.
Wheelchair racer Madison de Rozario easily won her heat of the women's 800m T53 and will contest the final on Sunday night.
