Neil Robertson was a man in a hurry to reach the semi-finals of the Riyadh Season Snooker Championship.
The Australian took just 44 minutes to dispose of Kyren Wilson, inflicting a 4-0 win over the Englishman on Thursday.
Dubbed the Thunder from Down Under, Robertson scored centuries in each of the opening two frames and then made 88 in the third - having narrowly run out of position on the black after a sixth red as he eyed a potential 167 golden ball super-maximum.
The Australian will now meet last year's winner Mark Allen, who saw off John Higgins 4-2, for a place in the final.
In a bitter blow and perhaps an ominous sign for the English ahead of the Ashes which gets underway at Perth Stadium on Friday, the Australian drew first blood with a red-hot cue against the world No.2.
It's proving to be a big year for Robertson who was also awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his significant contribution to snooker and representing the country at the highest level.
The world No.3 will be hoping to go one better after also reaching the last four of the 2025 Champion of Champions in Leicester where he went down to Mark Selby.
In the other quarter-final, world No.1 Judd Trump cruised past veteran Mark Williams 4-0.
Trump produced a confident display, reeling off his 29th century of the season in the third frame and finishing with another stylish 102 to wrap up victory in just under 50 minutes as Williams managed only 20 points overall.
He will meet world champion Zhao Xintong, who battled past Shaun Murphy in the late match.
After Murphy had made a 101 clearance in the fourth frame to level the match, breaks of 73 and 88 secured Zhao a 4-2 win.
