Aurelio Buta next on Celtic transfer spree but one obstacle remains over green lighting deal

Celtic are further trying to ramp up their transfer spree by landing Aurelio Buta.

The Parkhead giants’ recruitment push went into overdrive on Tuesday afternoon when they announced the signings of Joe Hart AND James McCarthy.

But as Ange Postecoglou and the board attempt to continue the huge rebuild needing for the squad, Buta could be next to join the revolution.

Celtic and Royal Antwerp remain in talks over the right-back, although a deal of just under £3million has been agreed.

All that is left is for the 24-year-old to agree personal terms.

As for outgoings, Odsonne Edouard may be first to go.

Brighton will push to get a £20million deal for the French star over the line.

Tottenham’s Cameron Carter-Vickers, meanwhile, remains an option for Celtic at centre-back. But it’s the signings of Hart and McCarthy that had fans excited earlier.
