ORLANDO, Fla. _ The Orlando Magic received help from D.J. Augustin and Evan Fournier when help was needed Friday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
With the Nets threatening to send the Magic to a seventh consecutive loss at Amway Center, Augustin and Fournier took control and led Orlando to a 118-111 victory.
Augustin provided the jolt the Magic needed, and Fournier supplied 11 consecutive points in the final 2 minutes, 26 seconds.
Fournier finished with 21 points and Augustin scored 17.
Sean Kilpatrick made a 3-pointer to put Brooklyn ahead 104-101 with 3:53 left in the game.
But Augustin gave the Magic a jump start. Augustin swished a trey of his own as the shot clock expired with 3:19 to play to tie the score 104-104.
On Brooklyn's ensuing possession, Serge Ibaka blocked a layup attempt by Joe Harris. After the Nets' Trevor Booker collected the loose ball, Ibaka blocked a layup attempt by Booker.
Augustin gathered the rebound, sprinted coast-to-coast and made a layup to give Orlando a 106-104 lead.
After Jeremy Lin drove to the hoop and scored on the Nets' next trip down the floor, Fournier sped through the lane and picked up a foul on Kilpatrick. Fournier made both free throws.
The Nets' Brook Lopez missed a shot, and on Orlando's next possession, Fournier drew another personal on Kilpatrick. When Fournier sank both attempts, the Magic led 110-106 with 2:05 to go.
Following a floater by Lin, Fournier made a 3-pointer from the top of the arc to put the Magic up 113-108.

Augustin finished with 17 points, six rebounds and four assists.
Fournier and Nikola Vucevic scored a team-high 21 points apiece.
The Magic grew frustrated with the officiating crew of Marc Davis, Brent Barnaky and Kevin Cutler in the third quarter. Coach Frank Vogel, Fournier, Elfrid Payton and Vucevic each received technicals at different stages of the quarter for arguing with the referees.
The Nets took a total of 18 free throws during the third quarter, while the Magic attempted 10.
The Magic still opened the fourth quarter with an 83-82 lead.
The Nets entered the game 25th in the NBA in field-goal percentage, having made just 43.7 percent of their shot attempts.
For a while Friday night, the Nets looked much more capable than that.
The Magic's defense struggled early on, continuing a trend that started during a victory Dec. 6 in Washington.
The Nets sank 19 of their first 32 shots, or 59.4 percent, Friday night.
Brooklyn went ahead 48-41 on a reverse layup by Lopez with 5:09 remaining in the second quarter.
But the Magic stepped up their defense after that.
The Nets ended the quarter by making two of 11 shots from the field, and the Magic took advantage of those misses.
Keyed by Augustin, Orlando closed the half on a 12-4 run.

Brooklyn opened the third quarter on a 12-4 run, prompting Vogel to call a timeout.
The Magic had some self-inflicted errors, too.
After Augustin converted a three-point play to cut the deficit to 67-63 midway through the third quarter, Ibaka fouled Harris as Harris attempted a shot beyond the arc. Harris was awarded three free throws, and he sank them all.
