The August bank holiday is fast approaching and you may be expecting your regular bin collections to change.
The ECHO has contacted all of the Liverpool City Region’s local councils to find out if you need to do anything differently this weekend.
Liverpool

In Liverpool, waste and recycling will be collected as normal.
Residents are instructed to present bins, bags or boxes on their regular collection day.
All bins and bags must be put out before 6.30am on the day collection is due and bins must be placed on the kerbside with handles facing towards the road.
If you live in a terraced house, you must place your bins in the nearest end of the passage or alley.
Recycling bags must be placed on the pavement by the front door.
Knowsley
Knowsley Council is operating a different service compared to its usual routine.
Collections scheduled for August 30, will take place on Saturday, August 28, instead.
Wirral
As for Wirral, there will be no change.
The council said that bins due to be collected on Monday will be taken as normal.
Sefton
In Sefton, Monday’s collections are for green garden waste bins.
Residents should present these bins for collection as normal on bank holiday Monday.
St Helens
Collections will also continue as normal in St Helens.
The council wants people to put their bins, bags and boxes out for 6.30am as normal.
Halton
Halton Council was unable to specify what residents should do this bank holiday.
But the local authority asked people to make sure they do not miss their collection and to check any changes to the normal service on its website here.
All Halton bins must be put out by 7am on the day of collection.
