The driver of a speeding car was seen throwing away a knife after being stopped by police.
The Audi S3 was driving at speed through Liverpool and when police caught up to the car, it was also found the vehicle had false registration plates. The driver, who was disqualified from driving, then attempted to get rid of a knife as officers approached.
The driver and two passengers inside the car were arrested and the Audi was seized by police. Merseyside Police took to social media to share the news.

The Roads Policing Unit wrote: "This Audi S3 was seen being driven at high speed. When we caught up with it we found that the Audi was on false plates. The driver (who was already disqualified) also attempted to discard a knife on arrest.
"All three occupants were arrested and vehicle seized."
