Audi stolen in New Cumnock as police launch appeal

An Audi has been stolen from an Ayrshire village over the weekend as police launch an appeal.

The car, a grey A1 model, was taken from an address in Glenafton Drive, New Cumnock sometime between Thursday, May 20 and Saturday, May 22.

Cops probing the theft are urging residents to come forward if they noticed anything suspicious in the area.

Locals have been also been urged to check their private space CCTV or review dash-cam footage.

Officers hope information can help catch the car thieves.

Sgt Deans of Kilmarnock police office said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have information in relation to the theft of this motor vehicle.

"Did you see anyone or anything suspicious, have you witnessed the incident take place? I would also ask that if anyone has any private space CCTV or dash-cams to review them which may assist us in our enquiry and bring the offender(s) to justice.

"Anyone with information can contact Kilmarnock police office on 101 quoting incident number 1060 of the May 22, 2021 .

"Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800555111."
