Audi ploughs into house then drives off with front door attached

A driver ploughed into a house's front porch - and then drove off with the front door attached to the car.

The crash happened in West Yorkshire shortly before 7:45pm on Friday night, November 20.

Police said an Audi collided with another vehicle on Ashworth Road in Dewsbury before careering into the front porch of a property on the street.

It then continued to drive for several metres with the front door attached to car.

Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Policing Unit tweeted a picture of the car with the white door wedged into the smashed up roof and windscreen of the car.

The male driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol the force said.

The 18-year-old suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

However his injuries are not thought to be serious police said.

Their enquires into the incident are ongoing they added as they urged anyone who saw what happened, who has not yet spoken to police, to contact the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101 referencing police log 1555 of November 20.
