Audi drivers are the most incompetent on UK roads, research finds

Audi drivers are by far the most incompetent on UK road, according to new research.

Van Monster surveyed 2,000 drivers in the country to find out if there was a link between bad driving and car brands.

And it's Audi drivers who are in greatest need of remedial driving lessons, coming 'top' for 17 out of 33 driving misdemeanours.

Such offences included: cutting fellow motorists up, suffering from road rage, colliding with other vehicles, parking across two spaces and parking on double yellow lines, reports ExaminerLive .

As well as inept, Audi drivers were the least honest when it came to owning up to damaging other people's vehicles, instead driving off.

Land Rover drivers were the second worst offenders; opening their doors onto fellow motorists’ vehicles, damaging other vehicles and damaging friends and family members’ vehicles whist driving them.

Seat drivers were found to be the worst when it came to road rage.

At the other end of the scale Volvo drivers were found to be the safest and most responsible, followed by Hyundai and Honda drivers.

Despite their poor reputation, BMW drivers weren't the worst for any offence – although there wasn’t an option for turning without indicating.
