Audi driver arrested on suspicion of drug driving TWICE in the same day

A man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving twice in a day.

Traffic cops from Greater Manchester Police took to social media on Sunday afternoon (April 26) to report an arrest made in the early hours.

A white Audi driver was stopped on Warrington Road, Abram. He tested positive for cannabis and was arrested.

Just before 11pm, officers took to Twitter again to say the same man had been caught driving again - just hours after being released from custody.

The second time, he was pulled over in Abingdon Drive, Platt Bridge.

A spokesman for the Traffic division of Greater Manchester Police said: "Remember the Audi from last night arrested by XT18 for drug driving?

"He clearly didn't learn his lesson.

"XT18 stopped same Audi within same day. This time Abingdon Drive, Platt Bridge.

"Positive cannabis and he's off to custody again. #MustLikeTheCell #fatal5."
