Blantyre’s Auchinraith Primary and Nursery have been awarded their sixth eco flag.
The youngsters’ work centred around litter, water, food and the environment.
And the children also constructed junk models and water collectors.
Within science lessons they took part in water cycle and filtration activities as well as growing plants and vegetables in the school garden. Then in social studies, the school learned about water inequality around the world, food air miles and plastic pollution.
Proud head teacher Julie McCulloch said: “The eco committee ran some very innovative competitions such as promise-making during Earth Hour, revisiting our eco code as well as all classes having their own classroom energy checklist.
“A big thank you also goes to all our volunteers and external partners for their help with our eco journey.”
