Auchinleck Talbot star joins Premiership rivals on loan deal

Auchinleck Talbot striker Hamish McKinlay has joined Premiership rivals Largs Thistle on a loan deal.

The former Stranraer and Irvine Victoria ace will ply his trade at Barrfields Park until February 28 after Talbot boss Tommy Sloan sanctioned the month-long move.

McKinlay has made 11 appearances for Talbot this season and Bot feel the player will benefit from more game time.

McKinlay's goal-scoring form at Irvine Vics - he was their top scorer last season with 16 - won him a move to Beechwood Park in the summer.

But the 21-year-old has struggled to force his way into a regular starting 11 slot ahead of the likes of Graham Wilson, Bryan Boylan and Mark Shankland.

Largs will be hoping they can get the youngster firing on all cylinders again and help them climb the Premiership table, where they currently lie 10th from 16 teams.
