Auchinleck Talbot squad struck down with illness as Hurlford Junior Cup clash postponed

Auchinleck Talbot's Macron Scottish Junior Cup clash with Hurlford tomorrow has been postponed for the THIRD week in a row.

But rather than weather being the reason this time, the game is off due to mass illness ravaging the Talbot squad.

At least seven first-team players have been struck down with illness and have been forced to get a doctor's line.

They defeated Rutherglen Glencairn on Wednesday night despite the absences, but assistant boss Allan McLuckie was forced to make an appearance.

SJFA chiefs have accepted the request and the game will be rescheduled.

It adds to Talbot's fixture chaos, as going into the middle of March, they have 15 league games, a Champions' Cup final, potentially a few West of Scotland Cup matches and up to five Junior Cup ties including replays and semi-finals, which could easily total over 20 games remaining.
