Auchencairn pupils show their green fingers

Pupils from P4-7 at Auchencairn Primary have been planting vegetable seeds in their new polytunnel.

With the warm weather recently, they have been making sure their seeds don’t dry out with regular watering.

The pupils have planted a range of vegetables they plan to harvest later in the year and share with everyone in the school.

And children in P1-3 at Auchencairn have been enjoying the daffodils they planted in the school garden last year.

Meanwhile, P4-7 pupils Christopher, Logan, Toby, Drew, Lottie, Daisy, Calli and Alba have been showing how great their reading is by winning Accelerated Reader awards.

Toby and Calli have both done especially well, gaining super honours awards and millionaire word counts this session.

In P3, George has gained his independent reader award.
