Auchencairn Primary pupils enjoy out of this world trip to Kirkcudbright Dark Space Planetarium

Pupils from Auchencairn Primary School journeyed into space during an out of this world trip to Kirkcudbright Dark Space Planetarium.

All 30 pupils at the school visited and enjoyed the interactive exhibits, the film We Are Aliens and a short live planetarium session.

The pupils thoroughly enjoyed rocketing around the galaxy and visiting the planets in the solar system in the live planetarium session. Staff were impressed by how much pupils already knew and pupils loved learning new facts about the universe.

The exhibition was the perfect area for half the school to watch a film while giving others plenty of time and space to enjoy the array of interactive exhibits with planetarium staff on hand to help and inform.

A fantastic school trip and thoroughly recommended.
