Suarez, Aubameyang and Kolasinac - Latest Arsenal team news and expected XI vs Leicester

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has been handed a major boost ahead of this weekend's clash against Leicester City.

Top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed the 3-1 defeat against Wolves in midweek following a sinus procedure on Tuesday.

However, football.london understands that the treatment was a success and that the Gunners are optimistic the Gabon international will be available for selection at the King Power Stadium.

The astonishing Arsenal statistic that Unai Emery must rectify for next season

This will be welcome news for Emery as he looks to secure the three wins from the final three games of the campaign that looks likely to be what Arsenal will require to qualify for the Champions League.

Wednesday's 3-1 defeat at Wolves, which came on the heels of a 3-2 loss at home to Crystal Palace, means that a top four finish is out of the north London outfit's hands, though their rivals Chelsea and Manchester United face each other after their clash against Foxes.

Aubameyang is the Gunners' only serious injury concern, though attacking midfielder Denis Suarez could be in line to recover from the niggling groin injury that has plagued him in recent weeks.

Although, even if that is the case it is highly unlikely that the Barcelona loanee will play any more than a peripheral role in the final weeks of the season.

Aaron Ramsey remains sidelined with the hamstring injury that he picked up in the Europa League quarter-final second leg win at Napoli whilst Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck are likely to miss the remainder of the season.

Arsenal struggled in a 4-2-3-1 against Wolves, whose pacey counter-attacks expertly tore apart the Gunners defence, and it appears likely that Emery will switch back to a three-man defence with Mesut Ozil playing in the hole behind Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Probable Arsenal XI: Leno; Sokratis, Koscielny, Monreal; Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Torreira, Kolasinac; Ozil; Lacazette, Aubameyang
