Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got on the scoresheet in Sunday's win against Tottenham. By scoring a goal in the resounding North London derby victory, it could kickstart the Gabonese international's season.
If not, it may just be a make or break year, with a number of other forward's at the clubs having their futures up in the air.
The Arsenal Way's Tom Canton (TC), Chris Davidson (CD) and Jake Stokes (JS) discussed the importance of the strikers goal on Monday mornings Facebook Live.
Here's a brief look at what they said:
TC: “A player who might have revived the start of his season, with a goal is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Getting at the end of that great move in combination with Emile Smith Rowe. Perfect celebration as you’ve probably all seen on social media. Emulating that famous Thierry Henry celebration.
“In terms of what that now means for him and what that can do for him. We’ve been in this scenario before, we’ve always turned around and said Aubameyang has gone a few games without scoring a goal - he needs a goal. He pushes on, scores a goal and then has another dip.
“The last kind of 18 months has been very much like that. Really kind of up and down for him. But a goal of this magnitude in this game and a performance where he pressed, he got back actively. Do you think this is one of the touch paper, that kick on to a real consistent run of form?”

JS: “I think so. This has to be the catalyst for him to go on and have a good season now for Arsenal. Because if he doesn’t do that now, not only will that put him in a dodgy situation but it will also put Arteta and Arsenal in an unfortunate situation. Obviously, Lacazette's contract is expiring soon, Nketiah’s too with his future at large over the summer.
“So, I really do think that goal can be the catalyst for Aubameyang and every top side, every side who wants those European places has to have a striker that can score 20 goals a season across all competitions of course. Twenty can be a push in the Premier League for even the best strikers.
“I think with Aubameyang it’s important for him to continue this form and sort of lead Arsenal forward. As a captain that’s also his job, it’s sort of on him now to drag Arsenal through the fixtures when it’s - 0-0, or 1-0 down. It’s his role to really pull them through those games with a goal.”
