Aubameyang could replace Cristiano Ronaldo as Trippier snubs Arsenal

Welcome to our football.london Arsenal media watch piece. Maybe not the first, we've definitely done transfer round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all. Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions doing the daily rounds.

Price tag inquiry made for Yves Bissouma

Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, Duncan Castles reported that Arsenal have asked Brighton how much it would cost to sign the midfielder. Castle said: "My information is that there are inquiries from Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal as to how much it would cost to sign him."

The Athletic’s Andy Naylor reported that despite reports of the Red’s interest in the player, Liverpool have not yet made a move for Bissouma.

Aubameyang to replace Ronaldo?

All eyes are on where Cristiano Ronaldo might possibly end up this transfer window - with links to Manchester City and Manchester United picking up pace.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Gabonese international, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on Juventus' list, to replace Ronaldo if he leaves the club.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has rubbished any claims linking Aubameyang away from the club, this week: “ Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is our player and he will remain here. I don’t know (if any player will leave). We haven’t had a situation but probably that question is more for (technical director) Edu and the board.”

Arsenal remain stubborn over value of wantaway striker

Former Arsenal player and Crystal Palace manager, Patrick Vieira wants to buy Eddie Nketiah from the club - who are vying for a higher price than what’s being offered.

Vieira and Palace are, according to The Atheltic, ready to pay £10million for the 22-year-old striker. Brighton also reportedly hold an interest in the player. An unnamed team in Germany per the report, are further matching a similar valuation for Nketiah.

However, Arsenal value him at double the asking price. Nketiah’s contract ends at the end of the season and Arsenal risk losing him as a free agent if he’s not sold in the current or January transfer window.

Kieran Trippier prefers United over Arsenal

Hector Bellerin pushing for a move away from the Emirates means Arsenal are in the market for a new right-back. The club are keen on Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier, but the player would prefer to move to Manchester United, rather than north London.

Eurosport have reported that Arsenal are unwilling to meet Atletico’s valuation of £34 million for the player and are looking to negotiate.

That may not be necessary though if Trippier's heart is set away from the Gunners and has his sights on Old Trafford instead.
