La Petite Crêperie is bidding 'adieu' to its home in the Grainger Market after five years in order to focus on pop-ups and events.
The popular stall, which serves sweet and savoury crêpes and gallettes, is closing its premises at the Newcastle indoor market on December 31.
Announcing the news on Facebook , owner Julien Poulalion said: "After five years of serving canny crepes and galettes in Grainger Market, I and the business are moving to a new chapter, and the shop in Grainger Market will close on December 31 2019.
"From 2020 we will be focused on pop-ups, existing and new markets, weddings, private celebrations and schools' events.
"A massive 'merci beaucoup' for your support, our customers have become our friends. We couldn't have done it without you, and we want to continue to serve and share with you our love of spinning crepes.
"To celebrate our time in Grainger Market, we are bringing back menu favourites, sharing memories and running special competitions/offers. We look forward to seeing you soon."
Julien told ChronicleLive : "We've had five fantastic years at the Grainger Market and we're very grateful for all the support we've had, but we want to continue that in a new way.
"We'll still be doing pop-ups, existing markets, you can see us at the Quayside Market on Sundays, we'll be doing private parties, I'll still be visiting schools.
"I want to focus on this more, and I don't want to sacrifice the quality or get overstretched. We're letting the shop go so I can give my full focus to these other projects.
"We want to invite everyone to come and say hello over the next few weeks.
"When I announced the news people seemed very sad, but they shouldn't be because it's been five fantastic years and there's lots going on in the next couple of months."
