Attorney enters guilty plea for Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott on speeding citation

McKINNEY, Texas _ Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott received 180 days of deferred adjudication probation Friday after his attorney filed paperwork for Elliott to plead guilty to a speeding ticket.

Elliott, 22, was cited April 4 after a state trooper clocked his 2016 Dodge Charger traveling 100 mph on Dallas North Tollway near Lebanon Road in Frisco. The posted speed limit was 70 mph.

The Class C misdemeanor was originally filed in Justice of the Peace Court. The citation was appealed to Collin County Court at Law 3, which disposed of the case Friday. The court assessed a $350 fine plus court costs for a total bill of $589.10.

Elliott did not appear in court. His attorney, Jonathan Winocour, declined to comment.
