Attention students! This is how you can win free rent for a year in Dublin

Along with academic stress, students in Dublin face another major source of stress- sky-high rents.

Many third-level students have to balance study, exams, and their social lives as well as work part-time to make ends meet.

But now you have the chance to win free rent for a whole year thanks to Boojum’s new campaign.

Boojum's Free Rent for a Year campaign (Boojum)

The popular food chain is launching the campaign in the hopes of highlighting the struggles new and returning students face financially across the country as tuition fees and rents seem to rise every year.

David Maxwell, Boojum’s Managing Director said: “We’re on the side of students, always aiming to deliver real value every day for them, but we knew we could take it beyond burritos.

“Almost 50% of our workforce is made up of third level students so we’re really conscious of the pressures that they’re under.

“From speaking with our students, increasing rent really is one of the biggest issues for them and is a distraction that they don’t need.

“That’s the thinking behind this promotion; if we can help one student this year by taking the pressure of rent off their mind, then we’ve done something positive.”

Bringing the campaign to students and forward the issue as a topic of conversation, Boojum is duplicating typical ‘To Let’ signs that line the streets in popular student areas like Dorset Street.

The signs announce the chance to win Free Rent for a Year. In addition, Boojum has turned two restaurant windows into Estate Agent windows, with listings available from €0.
