Attention stat nerds: The UFC’s new ‘Record Book’ feature is for you

Want to know who has the fastest knockout win in UFC heavyweight history? Or who has landed the most significant strikes in a women’s UFC fight? Or which American middleweight has the most UFC wins? Now you can get those answers and more in the click of a few buttons.

The UFC has opened up a whole new sector of information for the public with “Record Book,” a new element that’s now live on the promotion’s website that allows the user to crawl down a deep rabbit hole of information.

From general stats such as a list of the fighters with the most UFC wins or finishes, to something far deeper like filtering specific weight classes, countries of origin and more, “Record Book” is a tremendous resource for any MMA fan with a passion for information and hard data.

According to a release, “Record Book” covers the modern era, starting with UFC 28 in November 2000, when the Unified Rules of MMA were adopted.

“Record Book” offers much of what’s seen in the pre-event and post-event features composed by yours truly before every UFC fight card. Worry not, though. Once the coronavirus pandemic slows and the UFC’s event schedule returns to normalcy, the stories will continue with all the information in one handy place.

While there are no fights going on, though, “Record Book” offers a seemingly endless wormhole of knowledge on the most notable achievements to occur in MMA’s leading promotion.
