America is about to say goodbye to its golden era all over again.
The final episode of the final season of Mad Men airs on Sunday night. Millions of loyal fans will be tuning in to say goodbye to Don, Roger, Peggy, Joan, Betty, and the rest of the staff of Sterling Cooper.
But for some exceptionally devoted fans, the occasion calls for more than just turning on the TV and microwaving a couple of bags of popcorn. It’s also an opportunity to throw on a retro-inspired outfit, stock the bar and bust out the fancy cocktail tools, to raise a glass to the beloved show.
Bars in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and beyond are hosting viewing parties at which watchers can knock back Manhattans and Old Fashioneds just like Don Draper.
In true Sterling Cooper fashion, however, some devotees got their viewing parties started early, even though it was only midday:
