Woman tried to stab young couple to death for 'no reason'
A woman was convicted of trying to stab her best friend and her boyfriend to death for 'no reason'.
Lauren Walsh took a knife from Kelsey Gielinck 's kitchen before tapping her on the chest with the blade and saying: "You killed my nan."
Liverpool Crown Court heard Miss Gielinck's partner Wesley Pemberton intervened, only for 22-year-old Walsh to stab him three times.

Walsh admitted wounding both victims with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, but denied their attempted murder, during a bizarre nine-day trial.

Brawl erupts outside pub as 'police helicopter' scrambles to scene
A brawl erupted outside a pub as a "police helicopter" was reportedly scrambled to the scene.
At around 11pm last night (Wednesday) police received reports an "altercation" had broken out between a group of men.
Eyewitnesses at the scene said they saw a large police presence including matrix vans and reportedly a police helicopter overhead.
An ambulance was also called to the scene following the "distressing" incident.

Taxi driver called police over odd smell from man's suitcase
A drug dealer who told police he was just 16 was exposed when officers discovered a video of him celebrating his 25th birthday on his phone.
Hung Nguyen, was caught with a suitcase full of skunk on-board a train travelling from Warrington to London.
Nguyen had travelled by taxi to Warrington Bank Quay station with two friends on February 15, 2020.
The taxi driver detected a strong smell of cannabis from Nguyen's suitcase, and reported him to police
