Attempted murder charge filed in Humboldt Park shooting that critically wounded man

Anthony Harris

A man is charged with attempted murder in a Sunday shooting in Humboldt Park that critically wounded a man on the West Side.

Anthony Harris, 32, allegedly shot the 25-year-old during an argument in the 800 block of North Harding Avenue, Chicago police said.

The two began to argue and Harris eventually pulled out a gun and shot the man in the chin, neck and thigh, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said. Officers arrived to the residence, recovered weapons and took Harris into custody.

Harris, who lives in the same block where the shooting occurred, is charged with a felony count of attempted murder and a felony count of aggravated battery, police said. He is due in court on Tuesday.
