Police have launched an investigation after an attempted armed robbery at a shop in north Glasgow.
The incident occurred last night at a premises on Kilfinan Street off Balmore Road in the Lambhill area.
Officers raced to the scene around 8:20pm after the alarm was raised.
Police confirm that no-one was injured in the incident and that enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 8.20pm on Saturday, 16 January, officers received a report of an attempted armed robbery at a premises in Kilfinan Street, Glasgow.
“No-one was injured in the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
The incident comes after a petrol station was held up on Friday evening in the Baillieston area of the city.
Two men made off with a three figure sum of cash after threatened a female member of staff with a hand gun.
