A car rigged with explosives hit a checkpoint of a Turkish-backed faction group East of Euphrates in northern Syria’s Ras al-Ain town.
The blast killed four pro-Turkey militants while five others were seriously injured.
This was the second attack in a less than a week after Syrian Democratic Forces ambushed a group of Turkish-backed group while sneaking into SDF positions on Tuesday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the clashes left 11 deaths among the Turkish-backed factions, while several SDF fighters were killed and wounded.
According to SOHR sources, a group of at least 30 Turkish-backed militiamen sneaked into Mualaq village on the outskirts of Ain Issa, while SDF withdrew from their positions in the village after setting up an ambush using landmines.
The landmines exploded just after the factions’ militiamen had entered the village, while SDF showered the area with rockets for hours.
According to the war-monitor, clashes later were renewed in an attempt by the factions to recover their fatalities, which saw an exchange of violent and intensive shelling between both sides.
Also, on November 14, SOHR documented the death of a member of the Ankara-backed “Sultan Murad Division”, as a result of a landmine explosion on Tel Tamer frontline, north of Hasakah.
