Attacker urged to 'kick her head in' as woman is viciously assaulted by teen on Glasgow train

A woman was grabbed by her hair and pushed to the floor while a man urged the attacker to “kick her head in” during a vicious train assault.

The woman in her 30s was boarding the train with another two people before she was attacked by a teenager who was part of a larger group.

One man in the group was heard telling the teen suspect to “kick her head in” while the assault took place.

The incident took place on a train between Glasgow Central and Hillington West at 11.04pm on Saturday, July 13.

Police were only made aware of the attack on Sunday, August 11.

Now, British Transport Police are appealing for information on the incident.

A spokesperson for the force said: “The suspect is described as white, 5ft 4, approximately 19-years-old with long black hair and a slight build. She was wearing a black bra top and black leggings.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who knows the identity of the suspect, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference number 520 of August 11.

“Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.”
