Attack outside Leeds McDonald's leaves man with fractured eye socket

A man is being treated in hospital after suffering a fractured eye socket during a brutal attack in Leeds city centre.

West Yorkshire Police say the 30-year-old man was punched and kicked in the head in Briggate, at about 4am on Saturday, March 30.

Police have launched an investigation and released a CCTV image (shown above) of a man they want to question about the attack.

In a statement, the force said: "The suspect was described as an Asian male, aged 18 to 25, with dark hair with a shaved fade to the back and sides, a chin beard and a thin moustache.

"He was wearing a pale pink polo shirt with a dark trim to the collar and sleeves, blue jeans and dark shoes.

"Anyone who recognises him or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact PC 1788 Ben Maher via 101 and quote crime reference 13190164441."
