Man rushed to hospital with serious injuries after Stirling street alleged assault

Two men have been arrested after a man was seriously injured in Stirling.

A 24-year-old and 23-year-old have been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged assault which is said to have happened around 9.30pm on Sunday.

A large police presence was spotted in the Upper Craigs area of the city including multiple police vans and vehicles.

A man was subsequently rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with injuries which are described as “serious but not life threatening”.

The two men are due to appear in court tomorrow, July 7.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that two men aged 24 and one man aged 23, have been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault in Stirling.

“The incident happened around 9.30pm on Sunday, 5 July, 2020 on Upper Craigs, Stirling.

“One man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.

“The men are due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 7 July, 2020.

“Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone with any information surrounding the incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3480 of Sunday, 5 July, 2020.”
