Attack by gang of hooded men in Moodiesburn leaves victim with arm and head injuries

Police are hunting a group of eight or nine hooded men who attacked a man in Moodiesburn.

The 33-year-old victim was assaulted on Bridgeburn Drive around 10.30pm on Friday, April 23.

He was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment for injuries on his arms and head following the incident.

Detectives are looking for a group of eight or nine men who were all dressed in dark clothing with their hoods up who left in an unknown direction after the attack.

Detective Constable Lyndsay McKinnon of Coatbridge Police Station said: "Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have been in the area around that time to come forward.

"I would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage.

"Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 4522 of 23 April, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
