Atletico Madrid set Kieran Trippier price tag in transfer warning to Man Utd

Atletico Madrid have slapped a £30million price tag on Kieran Trippier in a bid to put off Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants the England right-back to provide competition for Aaron Wan Bissaka.

And after winning La Liga with Atletico last season, in what was his second year at the club, Trippier is understood to be open to a move home.

But Diego Simeone doesn’t want to lose the player and the Spanish side are ready to play hardball with United.

United had hoped Trippier would be available for around £15m to £20m but have rejected an opening bid and will push back unless they get much closer to asking price.

The 30-year-old, Bury-born star began his career in Manchester City ’s academy but made his name at Burnley before joining Tottenham.

He left north London for Spain following the Champions League final in 2019.

However, Tripper could be set for a sensational return to the Premier League if United meet Atletico's asking price.
