Atletico Madrid's Luis Suarez has claimed Manchester United 'are one of the best teams' in the Champions League this season.
The Champions League draw was marred with controversy but United were eventually drawn against Atleti in the last 16.
United were initially set to play Paris Saint-Germain before a redraw was forced to take place after what UEFA put down to a 'clerical error' with their software.
However, while some supporters have deemed Atleti to be an 'easier' game over playing PSG, the La Liga champions will be tricky opposition to deal with under Diego Simeone.
Atleti are fourth in La Liga this season and Suarez sent a warning to his teammates over the quality that United possess.
“I saw the second [draw]. To win the Champions League, you have to beat the best,” Suarez told Diario AS.
“United are one of the best. We will go into the knockout stage in the best way possible.”
United will play Atleti the first leg of their last 16 encounter in the Spanish capital on Wednesday, February 23.
Former Liverpool star Suarez is yet to play against United in an Atleti shirt, albeit he does have history with the Old Trafford side.
