Tottenham Hotspur's summer transfer window could be about to get even better.
The Lilywhites have already signed Jack Clarke from Leeds United, smashed their transfer record with the £63m signing of Tanguy Ndombele and are reportedly closing in on deals for Ryan Sessegnon as well as Giovani Lo Celso.
Furthermore, it's looking increasingly likely that Toby Alderweireld will be staying put for at least another season as the £25m release clause in his contract expires on Thursday.
And now it would appear that Christian Eriksen is likely to stay put too.
The Denmark international shocked supporters at the beginning of the summer by claiming he would like to try something new following six years in north London.
"I feel that I am at a stage of my career where I would like to try something new," he said in an interview with Danish publication Ekstra Bladet. "I have the deepest respect for everything that is happening at Tottenham and it would not be something negative to stay.
"But I have also said that I would like to try something new.
"I hope that something will be decided this summer. That is the plan. In football you never know when there could be a decision like that. It could be at any point.
"The best thing is always for it to happen quickly, but in football things take time."

This prompted talk of a move to Real Madrid.
However, with the La Liga giants focusing their attentions on Manchester United's Paul Pogba, options for Eriksen were looking rather slim until surprising reports coming out of Spain.
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla , Atletico Madrid became the latest team to join the race for the playmaker's signature.
Atletico have already shelled out £126million this summer on Joao Felix from Benfica, but recouped £107m from the sale of Antoine Griezmann to La Liga rivals Barcelona.
However, Marca claim that Diego Simeone's side have turned their attentions to Los Blancos attacking midfielder James Rodriguez who - at €40m is a cheaper option than Eriksen (€60 or €70m).
Furthermore, the report states that this week should bring about a resolution to Rodriguez's future amid links to Napoli as he's due back for pre-season training next week following his post Copa America holiday.
But with Zinedine Zidane having requested for the Colombia international's exit, a deal between the two rivals instead of the Serie A side would be great news for Spurs and Pochettino.
James Rodriguez to Atletico rules out the prospect of Eriksen joining ex-teammate Kieran Trippier at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium and pushes him closer to staying in north London.
