Atletico Madrid are ready to capitalise on Anthony Martial's unhappiness by submitting a swap deal for the wantaway Manchester United forward, according to reports.
Martial, 26, announced his intention to leave Old Trafford in the January transfer window through his agent, Philippe Lamboley, last week.
The Frenchman is frustrated by his lack of minutes having made just four starts in all competitions before suffering a knee injury in early December.
Martial is under contract at the Red Devils until 2024 with the option for another year, but his agent's declaration suggests he will try and force an exit next month.
Atletico are keeping a close eye on the situation and hope to secure Martial's services in the very near future by offering up a member of their own squad.

Man Utd headlines : Lingard gives Rangnick major dilemma amid Cristiano Ronaldo boost
That is according to Eurosport, who do not specify which Atletico player could move the other way, but claim the Spanish club will instead ask if anyone fits United's transfer plans.
One obvious candidate for the swap deal is England defender Kieran Trippier, who has long been linked with a return to the Premier League amid interest from United.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has not convinced Ralf Rangnick he should continue as first-choice right-back, so the interim manager could rekindle Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's pursuit of the 31-year-old as he approaches the final 18 months of his Atletico contract.
However, Rangnick also played down speculation Martial will leave with a withering assessment of his agent's comments, which were made via a television interview.
"The player hasn’t spoken with me or us about it," Rangnick said on Monday before demanding Martial expresses his wishes directly to him or the United hierarchy.
"If he really has the wish to go to another club, it should be the player who informs either the board or myself. To be honest, what his agent says via the media is not of that much interest to me."

The German hammered home his point when asked if he would speak to Martial to clarify his situation, responding: "No. Then I would react to what his agent has said and it should be the player."
Martial is yet to make an appearance under Ranngick due to his injury, although he was expected to be in contention for Tuesday night's clash with Brentford only for the fixture to be postponed due to a coronavirus outbreak.
"Maybe he can train [on Sunday] but I have to speak to the doctor first," Rangnick said after Saturday's victory at Norwich.
