Atletico Madrid handed major injury boost ahead of Liverpool Champions League clash

Diego Simeone is expected to bring a full-strength squad to Anfield when Liverpool face Atletico Madrid in a crunch Champions League clash.

It will be the first time the manager has a full compliment of players to choose from as he gets ready to try and defend a one-goal lead on Wednesday night against the defending European champions.

Alvaro Morata, who suffered an injury to his thigh in Atleti's match against Sevilla, did not take part in training ahead of his side's trip to Merseyside though was only reserved as a precaution, according to AS .

The striker is reportedly expected to play against Liverpool "in good condition".

Kieran Trippier and Joao Felix took part in the group session and Thomas Lemar has also returned after becoming injured in the first-leg against the Reds.

Left-back Renan Lodi also trained without any issues after being left out of the Sevilla squad with muscular discomfort.

Liverpool host Ateltico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night in the second leg of the last-16 tie where the visitors hold a 1-0 advantage.
