Atletico Madrid £113million star makes Liverpool admission ahead of Champions League clash

Liverpool will do battle with Atletico Madrid later this month as the two European giants meet to contest for a place in the last eight of the Champions League.

Speaking ahead of the knockout tie, Joao Felix has explained why he thinks Liverpool are the most difficult side to come up against.

The Portuguese starlet joined forces with Diego Simeone last summer after making the £113million move from boyhood club Benfica.

"It will be a very difficult tie. Perhaps of all the teams, they are the most difficult team," Felix told Eleven Sports as cited here.

"Liverpool are in good shape, in excellent form, they are the defending champions and it will be very difficult, as with any match in the Champions League.

"But against this Liverpool who are doing very well, it will be even more difficult."

Jurgen Klopp's side will return to the Wanda Metropolitano on February 18, with Liverpool set to welcome Simeone's men to Anfield on March 11.
