Atlanta woman accused of driving 100 mph. She says cop changed his mind but gave her a ticket anyway: ‘Request the dashcam footage’

A Georgia woman’s traffic stop has sparked debate on TikTok after the creator claimed an undercover officer accused her of driving 100 mph before ultimately issuing a different citation. TikTok creator Patience (@9patience3) shared a series of videos about the encounter, with the first showing her arguing with the officer during the roadside stop.

In the video’s caption, she alleged that an unmarked vehicle followed her for about 10 minutes before she finally changed lanes. She claimed the vehicle followed her, and after she briefly accelerated to create distance, the driver activated emergency lights and identified himself as an undercover officer.

According to Patience, the officer initially accused her of driving 100 mph. She also questioned the officer’s explanation, arguing in the caption that there was no vehicle directly in front of her. She suggested that if she had truly been following another vehicle too closely while traveling more than 100 mph, that vehicle would have had to be traveling even faster.

Officer allegedly ticketed her for a different reason

In her post, she also claimed the officer told her, “If I would have paced you a little further, you would have been going to jail for 100.” She claimed the officer returned with a citation for following too closely instead of speeding.

In a follow-up video, Patience offered additional context. She said she takes the same 90-minute commute each day, with most of the trip taking her on an interstate through the Atlanta area. She said she became frustrated and decided to accelerate to create space between the vehicles.

She also said she intended to remain silent during the traffic stop until the officer allegedly asked, “Why are you going 100?” At that point, she said, she became emotional. “I lost it,” she said. “And so that’s what y’all saw.”

Patience added that the incident occurred during her pregnancy and said she had been especially emotional that day, though she emphasized she was not offering that as an excuse. She said she plans to handle similar situations differently in the future.

She does not recommend responding to the officer encounter the way she did. “Obviously, I never act that way,” she said. “I do not recommend acting that way, whether you’re in the right or the wrong.”

One commenter encouraged her to seek additional evidence, writing, “Request the dashcam footage from the police station!” The clip reflects Patience’s account of the incident and has not been independently verified. Georgia law enforcement has not commented on the situation.
