Atiq Ahmed’s son Aaban killed in Jhansi road accident

Aaban, the son of the deceased mafia and politician Atiq Ahmed, has died in a road accident after his speeding vehicle rammed into a cement divider in Jhansi, as per Jhansi SSP. His companion Sonu who was also in the speeding vehicle has also died in the accident, according to the SSP.

Aaban was travelling from Prayagraj to Jhansi to meet his elder brother who is in jail when the mishap occurred.

The accident follows a long history of violent acts of violence involving Atiq Ahmed’s family including the killing of his son Asad, brother and himself.

Asad:Killed in UP STF encounter

On the 13th of April 2023, Atiq Ahmed’s son, 19-year-old Asad Ahmed was killed in an alleged encounter with the Uttar Pradesh’s Special Task Force in the vicinity of Jhansi along with his associate, Ghulam.

As per claims by the Special DG (law and order) Prashant Kumar, the police had put a reward of Rs 5 lakh for both Asad and Ghulam since they were wanted in connection to the murder of the advocate Umesh Pal, who was one of the witnesses in the case of the murder of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Raju Pal in 2005.

On February 24, 2023, Umesh Pal was shot dead along with two policemen paving his way towards his house in the Dhoomanganj police station area of Prayagraj.

The particular case had two more suspects, besides Asad which included Armaan, Ghulam, Guddu Musalman, and Sabir. While the name of Asad has been included in the Umesh Pal murder case, Ghulam has eight crime cases linked to his name.

Atiq and Ashraf: Shot dead days later

Atiq Ahmed and his brother Khalid Azim, also known as Ashraf, were killed in Prayagraj two days after Asad's passing on April 15, 2023.

The police were taking the brothers for a medical exam when three attackers dressed as media persons opened fire on them.

The police apprehended the attackers at the scene of the crime.

From what has been seen on footage, the men had shown up with an old camera.

The shooting took place inside a hospital under Shahganj police station area while Atiq and Ashraf were being moved.
