Youngsters put Scottish athletics star Laura Muir on the spot during a visit to East Kilbride Athletic Club last week.
The 1500m European champion dropped in on the club last Thursday evening with her coach Andy Young for a question and answer session.
Athletes posed questions ranging from her toughest race to if she had any pets.
It proved to be a thoroughly successful evening and East Kilbride AC president Gordon Colvin thanked the 1500m World Indoor silver medallist and European Indoor champion for inspiring their athletes.
He said: “We were absolutely delighted to have such a big star at our club.
“When our athletes see a star like that in the same room as them, who has run the same events they do now, it makes them think ‘Hey, I could do that’ and it really gives them something to aspire to.
“They all posed some great questions.”
Gordon also heaped praise on Laura and her coach for taking the time out to visit.

He added: “The club has been following Laura’s progress since her debut at the European Cross Country Championships in 2011 and she’s been happy to chat away to our members at races.
“Eventually we asked Laura to come along to our club one night and we are really thankful to her and Andy that they did.
"They didn’t have to do this, so to take time out to inspire the next generation is appreciated by everyone at the club.”
