Atari reborn out of Infogrames -- with Matrix game to come

French computer games company Infogrames will operate under the Atari name, which it picked up from Hasbro two years ago, reports Reuters. It will certainly arrive with a bang, with 4m shipments of its new game based on Enter The Matrix on May 15. Comment: Atari started as a Silicon Valley company that wanted to sound Japanese (great logo, but doesn't it make you think of Mount Fuji?), and now it's a French company that wants to sound American.
