Atalanta will be without multiple important players for their game against Manchester United on Wednesday night.
Robin Gosens reportedly attracted interest from some of Europe's most elite sides in the summer and his stellar performances for Atalanta were rewarded when Jurgen Low included the left-back in Germany's squad for the European Championship.
Gosens played a key role for Germany in that tournament, however, he won't be able to influence United's game against Atalanta at Old Trafford this week as he suffered a serious thigh injury against BSC Young Boys in the Champions League in September.
That's not the only player that Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini will be without, though.
Hans Hateboer is still sidelined until November while Berat Djimsiti is also injured - the latter is usually a regular starter.
Matteo Pessina played a part in Italy's Euro 2020 triumph this summer, but he sustained a thigh injury and had to be stretched off against AC Milan earlier this month, which means Gasperini will be without the midfielder's services on Wednesday.
Rafael Toloi also won't be available against United, having sustained a fresh injury in Atalanta's 4-1 win on Sunday.
United needed a last-minute Cristiano Ronaldo goal to beat Villarreal and they'll be hoping for an improved performance here.
