At the Table with Lynn Sweet

On the latest episode of At the Table, Lynn Sweet was joined by Emmett Till’s cousin Rev. Wheeler Parker Jr., South Side suburban minister and the last surviving witness to Till’s lynching. He tells the story of what happened on Aug. 28, 1955, and what led up to his cousin’s brutal slaughter by white supremacists.

Chris Benson, Till scholar who just wrote a book with Rev. Parker entitled “A Few Days Full of Trouble: Revelations on the Journey to Justice for My Cousin and Best Friend, Emmett Till,” also joined the conversation.

Stream their conversation now and learn more about Rev. Parker in “8 things to know about Wheeler Parker Jr., Emmett Till’s cousin, eyewitness to his lynching” by Lynn Sweet and Brian Ernst.
