BALTIMORE _ At least one U.S. Marshal was reported injured in a shooting in Baltimore on Wednesday afternoon, according to Baltimore police.
Officers were called to Radecke and Cedonia avenues in the Frankford neighborhood in northeast Baltimore shortly after noon.
A Baltimore Police spokeswoman initially said two marshals were injured but later said they were still confirming details.
The marshal's condition was not immediately available.
Agents from the Baltimore office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were assisting at the scene. There appeared to be a body under a sheet at the scene.
The U.S. Marshals office is a federal agency with duties that include courthouse security, fugitive apprehension, prisoner transport and witness security.
A spokesman for the Baltimore office said they were still working out details and declined to comment further.
There was a large police presence around Maryland Shock Trauma, and police blocked off West Lombard Street in the area. Baltimore County Police Chief Melissa Hyatt was on site.
