At least 4 people killed in Tokyo construction site fire

A fire broke out at a construction site in the Karakida district of Tama, in western Tokyo, on Thursday afternoon, killing at least four people as the site violently went up in flames.

Many people appear to have been unable to escape the fire, according to the Tokyo Fire Department, and there were many injured.

The site is about 700 meters west of Karakida Station on the Odakyu Tama Line.
