At last... Newsquest offers a comment of sorts

Thank you for your email addressed to Margaret Strayton regarding the Newsquest pension scheme. I can confirm that Newsquest has started a period of consultation about proposed changes to the Newsquest pension scheme designed to establish the scheme on a more sustainable basis for the longer term. The Company has no further comment to make. Regards, Andrew R White, Group Pensions Manager, Newsquest Media Group.

So there we have it. It turns out to be "a period of consultation". I think that qualifies as a comment, and it might help to reassure those who believe the company is about to impose changes.
